When I wake up each day, I won't let the day pass without reading my emails. Yesterday I received a forwarded email that makes me feel I am so blessed and thankful for what I have and what I am today. I wish everybody happiness, contentment and peace...Believe in what you can do, work hard and you will be rewarded for it. But sometimes working too much does not pay. Even if our economy goes up or down we can not deny the fact that there are still people starving, homeless,etc...there is a continuing struggle of individuals search for comfort and happiness. There are worse for others and a lot better for us...

If you think you suffer in life, do you suffer as much as he does?

If the society is unfair to you, look at her.

If you think you are not happy, look at them

If you think you don't have many friends, think of this guy.

when you feel like giving up, think of this man and the little girl below.

Despite the crisis Filipinos don't forget to celebrate fiesta, this usually happened on the feast of its patron saints. It is also the ties that binds Filipinos from any area together, a time to reunite old friends and acquaintances. The sad thing about fiesta for me is that some people spend all they have just to be happy and feed others, they don't worry about the expenses they incurred this is part of Filipino hospitality which is very common and is quite annoying to me. Though Fiesta is a part of Filipino tradition I think it is not practical to spend that much. Anyway, Filipinos are hardworking individuals they always find ways and means to meet their daily needs. Time passed, and people now are more vigilant and aware about the crisis-that they spend their income wisely in order to cope with the increasing prices of commodities-when fiesta comes people now are spending money moderately for the celebration unlike in the past.

In our place we celebrate fiesta with colorful bantings hanged around the place. Different sports activities are being organized. Beauty pageant is usually held a day before the celebration itself. A parade is part of the celebration which showcase the image of the patron saint.

Celebrating fiesta for me is a journey towards unity.

Welcome visitors!

Boxing is one sport that is very popular worldwide. People from all walks of life find time to watch boxing events. Well known personalities like Manny Pacquiao also known as "Pacman" and "peoples champ" rose from the ranks. Looking back in his younger years, Manny belongs to a poor family in their hometown-his parents separated and he grew up with his mother. Because his mother could not support his education financially, he focused himself training to become a boxer. Pacquiao left his hometown for Manila...according to him he was happy in Manila for he can eat three times a day. For people in the state of poverty or experiencing hunger this lines are not new to them. I saw a lot of people starving but one thing about Manny is that he never gave up. During his fights her mother go to a nearby appliance store just to watch him because they don't even have a TV in the house. Pacquiao's Journey in his boxing career continues. Until he fought well known personalities in boxing in international venues and knocked champions that brought him to stardom, fame and fortune.

Today this little poor boy from the province enjoys the luxury and comforts in life. He has a very beautiful wife blessed with four children. For Manny education is still very important infact he enrolled in a distance learning education. He has a good heart for the poor and Manny donates to charities. Because of his popularity and success in his choosen field he is among the finalist of the "Most Influential people of 2009" Time magazine. Among the finalist are swimmer Michael Phelps, golfer Tiger Woods, NBA superstar Kobe Bryan, Cyclist Lance Armstrong and a lot more.

With his popularity, fame, and fortune I hope Manny remains humble as he continue his life's meaningful journey with his own family now... That's all for today, enjoy your day with your loved ones and friends.

I married at the age of twenty two and bore a child at twenty three. I knew that I was too young then to get married at such age. The adjustment period of being husband and wife is quite difficult for me, I quit my job, stayed home waiting for my husband to come home everyday-I mean it was boring. Time passed and I delivered my first child through caesarean operation. That was one of the sweetest things happened to me giving birth to a healthy bouncing baby boy. At last after 9 months of being pregnant, which was not easy for me that time-with all the backpains that I've gone through, the sleepless nights because I feel too hot...Here I am now relieved from all those mess.

After giving birth I went through another stage which was the healing process of my operation it was difficult also but I've gone through it. my husband was always there ready to assist me. We raised our son and showered him all the love and care that every parents should do, the happiness that we felt during the time that our child uttered his first word and witnessed how he learns his first step was undescribable. We dont have problems raising him, he was a very friendly child.

Years passed and our son graduated from elementary grade and high school recently. He will be in college this coming June and I wish and pray that he will be successful in his choosen fields and endeavors-so with my two other sons who brought also joy to us. We are blessed with three sons and as parents we want the best for them. I believed a good marriage blessed with respectful and successful children is a parents crowning glory. Goodluck to all my sons!!!

Life is full of surprises and disappointments, we all go through ups and downs, whatever it is we cannot avoid the fact that it is really happening-it is a reality i should say. We go through stages in life and along the way we encounter obstacles that sometimes refrain us from doing the usual things that we used to do. Discouragement comes in the way...and we deal with it differently.

Sometimes we feel insecure about so many things. My friend shared to me about her insecurity in speaking English-because she is judge by what she say and how she say it. Language barrier is a reality.

Recently we are in a critical time in thinking about how we handle and how we go through with the crisis that is happening globally, the consequences are truly felt by many nations. I guess this is one of the most serious challenges that we are facing nowadays that brought serious implications in us. Undeniably, many are jobless, some companies closed their establishments.

Times like this we should do our own share of finding solutions. We have to do something to address whatever situations we are into-because at the end of the day we are still the one who will be affected or benefit from it.
